Rolling Art turns any photo of a car into a cinematic, bespoke portrait — printed on your choice of mug and handpressed to order in the UK. Upload a photo of your car (or one you love), pick a scene, choose a few details, and we'll drop a proof for your approval within minutes.

Every Rolling Art is one-off. No stock imagery, no templates — just your car, reimagined as artwork.

How is my proof made?

After months of fine-tuning a combination of powerful imaging systems to work together, we've built a process that blends complex digital image manipulation with a careful human eye. Every proof is checked by a real person before it reaches you.

How quickly will I get my proof?

Usually within minutes of ordering. Occasionally longer if we're queuing up — but you won't be waiting hours, let alone days.

Why can't I preview the proof instantly on the page?

Because we still need to check things over. Every car is different, details change, and it takes a human eye to make sure the finish is right before we send it your way. It's the difference between a novelty AI toy and something you'll want to display.

Can I request changes?

Yes. You get up to two rounds of changes on every order — plenty of room to tweak the scene, the light, the details until it feels right. If you're still not happy after that, we'll refund you in full. No hard feelings.

Can I upload any car photo?

Absolutely. Yours, your dream car, your dad's classic, a rally shot from a magazine — whatever you want. If you fancy a mug of a Ferrari F40 with your own reg on it, be our guest. We'll create it.

What's the best angle to shoot?

The three-quarter view is always best — either front-quarter or rear-quarter, whichever side of the car you'd rather show off. The more of the bodywork we can see, the more detail we can bring through in the artwork.

Is there a photo resolution limit?

The bigger the better — the finer the detail, the more we can capture. That said, we've had incredible results from fairly standard phone photos. Do your best with what you have.

What if my photo doesn't quite work?

Sometimes a photo just isn't the right angle, or the car is too far away to capture. If we can't get a great result from what you've uploaded, we'll get in touch and either suggest a better shot or offer a full refund. We won't press a bad print.

Can't find the right photo?

We have a comprehensive database of car imagery collected over 20 years in motoring — so if you're looking for something specific and can't find it, just ask.

Do I pay full price for extra mugs with the same design?

Nope. You pay full price for the first mug (which covers the artwork). Every additional mug using the same Rolling Art design is charged at our standard mug price.

How do I reorder a mug with an existing Rolling Art design?

We're currently building a product page that lets you pick from your previously-approved Rolling Art designs. Until it's live, just get in touch and we'll place the order for you.

Can I use the artwork for anything else?

Watch this space — we're working on it. Canvas prints, framed art and more options are coming soon.

Can I send this as a gift?

Yes. You'll receive the proof for approval before anything is pressed, so you can either approve on the recipient's behalf or forward the approval link to them if you want them involved.

How long until my mug arrives after approval?

Once you approve the proof, we handpress your mug and dispatch it — usually within 2 working days. Free tracked delivery to your door.

Is the mug dishwasher-safe?

Yes, every ceramic and bone china mug is dishwasher- and microwave-safe. Our polymer and travel mugs should be hand-washed and are not microwave-safe. All are backed by our 1-year fade guarantee — if the design fades within 12 months of ordering, we'll replace it free of charge.

Shipping & Processing

Each item is made to order and carefully hand-pressed in our Sussex studio.

Most orders are produced within 24–48 hours, depending on order volume.

Standard delivery: Orders are dispatched using a Royal Mail Tracked 48 service.

Express delivery: Where Express shipping is selected at checkout, orders are dispatched using a Royal Mail Tracked 24 service.

Delivery times refer to courier transit only and do not include production time.

If you need your order sooner, Priority Processing is available to add to your basket to move your order to the front of the production queue.

Please note

Colours may vary slightly from screen to screen due to display settings. Every mug is produced to our exacting standards to ensure consistent print quality and finish.

If you've selected gift wrapping for one item within a multiple-item order, please let us know in the order notes at checkout which item you'd like gift wrapped.

Returns

We offer a 14-day return policy on standard mugs. To be eligible, items must be unused, in their original condition and packaging, with proof of purchase. Please email danni@sipfullofdesign.com to request a return before sending anything back — we'll reply with instructions on where to send your package.

Personalised and custom items cannot be returned — they're hand-made to order and unique to you. If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, contact us straight away with a photo and we'll put it right.
