Joel Clark is a British artist working in the unique medium of hand-cut vinyl artwork. After first learning the craft during a summer job with a sign company based at Silverstone Circuit, Joel went on to study art before spending 16 years working as an advertising creative producing TV and poster campaigns.
Eventually following his lifelong ambition of becoming a professional artist, Joel developed a distinctive artistic style shaped by the vinyl-cutting process itself — breaking subjects down into coloured shapes before painstakingly hand-cutting and layering them together like a collage or jigsaw.
The result is artwork that feels vivid, graphic and instantly recognisable, balancing bold colour with atmosphere, movement and simplicity.
The collection features a wide variety of subjects including seaside scenes, architecture, people in public spaces, travel-inspired artwork, landscapes and abstract colour studies — each carrying Joel’s signature layered style.
Alongside collaborating with Sipfull of Design, Joel has also created artwork for brands and organisations including Lewis Hamilton, Toyota, Porsche, Renault F1 and the Silverstone Museum.
