It started with a handful of breeds at the start of October. The response was lovely - and the most common reply was some version of "have you got a ...?" So we've kept going. This week alone we've added another 15 dog breeds and 7 cats.
Every design is the same idea: a row of cartoon dogs or cats lined up around the mug, each one with its own look. Grumpy, smug, baffled, delighted. If you live with one, you'll recognise at least one of them.
The dogs

- Beagles - nose down, ears flapping, selectively deaf.
- Border Collies - eyes locked, ball not optional.
- Boxers - daft as a brush and twice as bouncy.
- Cavalier King Charles Spaniels - soppy, silky and always pleased to see you.
- Chihuahuas - tiny bodies, enormous opinions.
- Cockapoos - maximum floof, curls everywhere.
- Corgis - long, low and completely in charge.
- Dalmatians - all legs, spots and enthusiasm.
- English Bulldogs - low, wide and entirely unbothered.
- French Bulldogs - all ears and indignation.
- German Shepherds - absolutely certain they're in charge of security.
- Golden Retrievers - soppy, daft and delighted with absolutely everything.
- Greyhounds & Whippets - all legs, elbows and existential worry.
- Gundogs - for the peg-dog brigade. There's also a version with a pheasant.
- Huskies - dramatic, stubborn and extremely vocal.
- Jack Russells - small dog, enormous ego.
- Labradors - permanently delighted and permanently hungry.
- Lurchers - all legs, elbows and professional sofa-hogging.
- Miniature Schnauzers - tiny dogs with the bearing of retired professors.
- Patterdale Terriers - small dogs, enormous nerve.
- Pomeranians - tiny dogs, enormous attitude.
- Poodles - groomed within an inch of their lives and not at all happy about it.
- Pugs - wrinkled, worried and convinced something is wrong.
- Sausage Dogs - long dogs, big personalities.
- Scottie Dogs - short in the leg, long in the opinion.
- Shih Tzus - tiny palace emperors in dressing gowns.
- Spaniels - cockers and springers, ears like silk curtains.
- Springer Spaniels - permanently delighted and permanently airborne.
- Staffies - the original smiley dog.
- Westies - small, white and entirely convinced of their own importance.
- Yorkies - pocket-sized and absolutely fabulous.
The cats

- Bengals - half house cat, half small leopard.
- Black Cats - the cool crowd.
- British Shorthairs - round, plush and permanently unimpressed.
- Ginger Cats - marmalade moggies in cosy scarves.
- Maine Coons - enormous, magnificent and entirely aware of it.
- Ragdolls - utterly boneless and completely content.
- Siamese - elegant, angular and absolutely full of opinions.
- Sphynx Cats - all ears and attitude, in bright colours. Or go for the Natural Sphynx in their true colours.
- Tabby Cats - classic moggies, every one a character.
- Tortoiseshell Cats - tortitude, bottled.
- Tuxedo Cats - permanently dressed for an occasion that never comes.
And for Christmas
There's a festive version of each too - Christmas Dogs and Christmas Cats, all Santa hats, jumpers and tangled fairy lights. Good for Secret Santa, or a stocking.
