Rolling Render Motorbike Art: Your Bike, Your Scene, Your Mug

Any bike, any era, hand-illustrated onto a mug and hand-pressed in Sussex. Eleven scenes to pick from, a rider you can dress down to the leathers, and a proof that lands in your inbox within hours. From £25.49.

Rolling Render started with cars. Since then we've hand-illustrated everything from 1960s classics to modern supercars to full-blown motorhomes — and customers have properly loved them. Five-star reviews across the board, and a steady stream of "can you do bikes?" emails that we finally had a good answer for.

As of this week: yes.

And bikes have been harder

Cars have shapes you can generalise. Saloon, hatchback, coupe — there's a family resemblance you can rely on. Bikes don't work like that. Every fairing, every tank, every exhaust, every wheel is specific, exposed, and immediately identifiable to the person who rides it. Get the exhaust wrong and it isn't your bike anymore. Get the fairing profile off and a rider spots it before they've finished their coffee.

So it took a fair bit of work to crack. Training the tooling to recognise what makes a Ducati Monster, a Triumph Bonneville, a KTM 690. Getting the little details — the shape of a headlight cluster, the routing of an exhaust, the sit of a fairing over a tank — consistent and honest.

We're properly happy with where it's landed.

How it works

Four steps. Same for every order.

1. Upload a photo of your bike. Three-quarter view works best — whole bike in frame, well-lit, no filters. A good phone photo is plenty; landscape shots at 2000×1500px or larger give us the most to work with. Any bike, any era.

2. Pick your scene, helmet and rider outfit. Eleven scenes to choose from (more on those in a moment). Helmet type and colour from the built-in options, or go bespoke on the rider — describe your kit or upload a photo of you riding.

3. Your proof lands within a few hours. Bikes are harder than cars, so this bit is honest work: we pick the strongest options that come back, then refine each one digitally until the details are properly close to your original. What arrives in your inbox has already been through us.

4. Approve and we press it. Hand-pressed onto your mug in our Sussex studio and dispatched within two working days, tracked to your door.

Two rounds of changes are included on every order. If we can't get it right, we refund you in full — no hard feelings.

Eleven scenes to choose from

Every scene puts your bike front and centre in a different context. The choice is really about what your bike means to you.

  • Open Road. Coastal road, morning light, nothing behind you.
  • Track. Apex, knee-down, tyre marks.
  • Sunset. Golden hour, warm colour, quiet moment.
  • Mountain. Alpine pass, snow-capped backdrop, hairpin ahead.
  • Café. Stopped outside a café on a bike-meet Sunday.
  • Night. Streetlights, wet tarmac, headlight beam.
  • Blue Hour. That still moment between sunset and dark.
  • Trail. Green lanes, dust, adventure bike energy.
  • Desert. Dakar-adjacent, dunes and dust plumes.
  • Off-Road. Rocks, boulders, big travel suspension.
  • Garage. Timber-framed barn, workshop light, at rest.

Pick the one that feels most like your bike. If your bike is a track-day weapon that gets ridden to the shops on Saturdays, either Track or Open Road will feel honest. If it's a stripped-back adventure bike that mostly lives on the drive, Trail or Garage. There's no wrong answer — and if you can't decide, that's fine, we'll show you two.

The rider

Every mug lets you set the rider — helmet type, helmet colour, and outfit — from our built-in options. Quick, easy, gets you most of the way there.

For something more specific, the bespoke rider option lets you either describe your kit (leathers, textiles, colour, brand) or upload a photo of you riding. We'll render it faithfully.

Because a track-day rider in full leathers should look different to a Sunday tourer in a jacket, and both should look like themselves.

Handpicked, not AI-blasted

The bit that makes this different from every novelty AI mug on the internet: every proof gets reviewed by a real person before it reaches you.

Bikes especially. They rarely come back right first time — fairings get simplified, exhaust routing gets missed, wheel detail goes fuzzy. So we roll our sleeves up and refine each proof digitally, sometimes for a good while, before it ever hits your inbox. What you see is what we've already worked on. It's the difference between a novelty AI toy and something you'll actually want to display.

The cars set the bar

Some context. Rolling Render Automotive Art has been out for a good while now, and the response has been genuinely lovely.

★★★★★  15 five-star reviews and counting.

"The detail on my dad's Jaguar was uncanny." "Better than I dared hope for." "The scene made it come alive." Customers have used them for retirements, milestone birthdays, first-car nostalgia, and just for themselves. It's what gave us the confidence to properly tackle bikes — we knew the tooling was capable, we just needed to teach it a different language.

The practical bits

  • From £25.49. One-off, bespoke, hand-pressed to order.
  • Additional mugs at our standard rate. The artwork is a one-time charge — extras with the same design come at standard mug prices. Handy for the whole rider club or a father-son pair.
  • Free UK shipping when you order two mugs or more. Tracked delivery from £1.99 otherwise.
  • 1-year fade guarantee. If the print fades within 12 months, free replacement.
  • Hand-pressed in England. Every mug, every time, in our Sussex studio. Dispatched within two working days.
  • Ceramic and bone china are dishwasher- and microwave-safe. Polymer and travel mugs should be hand-washed.
  • Personalised means non-returnable. You approve the proof before it prints — nothing goes to press until you're happy.

What’s next

Rolling Render is designed to expand — any subject with strong printed character and enough visual identity can go through the same pipeline. Cars, motorhomes, bikes. Next on the list: pushbikes, campervans, classic tractors — and yes, we've had requests for boats. If there's something specific you'd love to see, tell us. Every range we've launched started because someone asked.

Our sister Portrait Range covers the other end of the workshop. Pawtrait Mug for dogs, Purrtrait Mug for cats, and Ponytrait Mug for horses. Same tooling, different subjects — photo in, painted portrait out.

One Last Thing

Rolling Render Motorbike Art exists because riders kept asking. It's taken longer than we hoped and more work than we expected, but it's here, it works, and we're genuinely proud of what it produces.

Send us your bike. See what we can do.
