Joel Clark began his career producing hand-cut vinyl graphics for race car teams before studying art at college and going on to work for some of the world’s leading advertising agencies. A lifelong petrol-head, motorsport and performance cars have always been at the heart of his creative world.
After more than 15 years in the advertising industry, Joel made the decision to return to his first love of becoming a full-time artist. Drawing on his early experience with race teams, he revisited the skilled, hands-on process of hand-cut vinyl — not for logos, but to create complete, highly detailed pictures.
Each piece of Joel Clark artwork is built from meticulously cut, puzzle-like shapes, resulting in his distinctive style of bold flat colour, sharp edges and striking clarity. Every design is the result of many hours of patient, manual craftsmanship.
