About this mug
The Shell pecten is one of the most recognised symbols in the world — and for anyone who grew up in Britain, it's inseparable from the smell of a forecourt, the sound of an engine turning over, and the particular satisfaction of a full tank. The Shell Motor Oil Mug brings that heritage straight to your morning brew, with a full-wrap vintage petrol can design, authentic distressed detailing, and the bold red and yellow that's been turning heads since 1901.
This is a mug for people who know their motors. Whether it's on the workbench between jobs, on the desk of someone who'd rather be in the garage, or pride of place in a man cave alongside the rest of the collection — it fits. And if you're buying it as a gift for a classic car enthusiast, a motorsport fan, or a dad who's spent more weekends under a bonnet than he'd care to admit — you already know it's going to be exactly right.
Every mug is hand-pressed in our family-run Sussex studio using premium ceramic blanks, producing prints that are vivid, fade-resistant, and tested to withstand over 800 wash cycles at 45°C. The full-wrap design means it looks striking from every angle — no blank reverse, no half-measures. Choose from nine interior colours across multiple sizes and finishes — classic 11oz and 15oz ceramic, lightweight Bone China for a more refined feel, the generous 20oz Pint size, the smash-proof Polymer Mug for workshop or van use, or the taller Latte Mug for a café-style brew.
We back every mug with our 1-Year Print Guarantee — if the print fades or peels under normal use, we'll replace it. No quibbles. Hand-checked, carefully packed in double-walled smash-proof packaging, and dispatched ready for the road.

I bought this mug for my petrol head Brother-in Law and love the Shell oil design.
I haven't given him the mug yet but I am sure that he will love it and the quality is really great so it should last him a long, long time.

Obviously Christmas presents, but for the 3 petrol heads in my life, they are perfect. No doubt the mugs will be found in the garage.
I’ve bought it for my son & I think it looks great but as he won’t be getting it until Xmas it’s too early for the end user to comment on it. However , I’ve asked my wife for one for me for Xmas as well.
I can say I’ve started my Christmas shopping in August. They look great but shall keep them hidden for a few months yet.
