Over the past few months, we’ve had a bit of consistent feedback from customers.
Not about the mugs themselves — thankfully — but about how easy (or not) it was to choose between the different options.
With multiple sizes, materials, and colours available across many of our designs, the traditional dropdown approach wasn’t always the clearest way to see what was actually possible.
So we decided to do something about it.

Introducing the Smart Mug Picker
This is something we’ve built completely from scratch — tailored specifically to how our mugs work.
Rather than selecting options from a list and hoping the combination exists, you can now see everything clearly in front of you.
How It Works
The idea is very simple.
- If an option is highlighted, it’s available
- If it’s greyed out, that combination isn’t currently possible
But here’s the bit we really like.
If you click on something that’s greyed out, the other options will automatically adjust to show you what is available.
No dead ends. No guesswork. Just a much clearer way to find the right combination.
Built Around Real Use
This wasn’t about adding something flashy — it came directly from how people were actually using the site.
We wanted to make it easier to understand:
- What sizes are available
- Which materials work with which designs
- What colour combinations are possible
And, most importantly, to make that clear without needing to think too hard about it.
A Small Change That Makes a Big Difference
On the surface, it’s a fairly simple update.
But in practice, it makes choosing your mug feel much more intuitive — especially if you’re exploring different options or trying to find something specific.
Try it out
You’ll find the Smart Mug Picker on our product pages — feel free to have a play and see how it works.
We’d Love Your Feedback
This is something we’re really pleased with — but like everything we build, it will continue to evolve.
If you have any feedback, suggestions, or ideas, we’d genuinely love to hear them.
After all, this only came about because people told us what wasn’t working.
