It worked well, but it wasn’t always the simplest process.
So we’ve changed it. Quite a bit, actually — building something in-house that works the way it should.
No emails. No waiting around for proofs. No back and forth.
Just a straightforward, visual way to create exactly what you want.
Everything Happens in One Place
You can now design your mug entirely on the product page.
You can:
- Add your own photos
- Write custom text
- Use stickers and design elements
- Choose backgrounds
Everything is adjustable — move things around, resize, tweak until it feels right.
See It Before You Order
One of the biggest changes is the live preview.
You design on a flat layout, and then instantly see how it wraps around the mug in a 3D preview.
It means you can check spacing, positioning, and how everything flows — before you ever place your order.
So when you do hit “Add to cart”, you know exactly what you’re getting.
Upload From Wherever You Like
We’ve also made uploading much more flexible.
You can add images from:
- Your device (phone or computer)
- Your camera
- Google Drive or Google Photos
- Dropbox or OneDrive
- Even Facebook
It’s all built to be quick and familiar — no digging around for files.
Built-In Checks (So You Don’t Have to Guess)
The system will also flag if something isn’t quite right — for example, if an image is too low resolution to print well.
That way you can fix things there and then, rather than finding out later.
And behind the scenes, we still keep an eye on everything before it goes to print.
If something looks like it might not come out quite right, we’ll step in and help.
Built In-House, For How You Actually Use It
This is something we’ve developed ourselves, from the ground up.
Which means we’re not tied to a fixed system or a one-size-fits-all tool — we can shape it around how people actually design their mugs.
It’s allowed us to keep things simple where they need to be, but flexible where it matters.
And it also means we can keep improving it over time, based on how people use it and the feedback we receive.
A Big Step Forward
This has been a fairly big change for us — but one that makes the whole process much simpler.
You’re in control, you can see exactly what you’re creating, and it removes a lot of the friction from designing something personal.
