Sipfull Portraits — our photo-personalised range — is built on a simple premise: you've got a bottle that means something, we'll turn it into a stylised mug. Send the photo, get the mug.
The problem, as it turned out, is that a lot of people don't have the bottle to hand.
Someone wants a mug for their dad's 60th, but their dad's favourite whisky is in the cabinet at his house, six hundred miles away. Someone wants to mark a friend's retirement, but the friend doesn't drink one thing consistently — the running joke is just him. Someone wants to give a mug to the mate who's about to get married, and there's no bottle to photograph, only the mate.
What connects all of them isn't a bottle. It's a name.
Sipfull Labels is what we built for that.
What Sipfull Labels actually is
You pick a style. You type a name. Our system invents an original label — from scratch — for a bottle that doesn't exist, with the name you typed as the wordmark. Three variations to choose between. Pick your favourite, wrap it on the mug of your choice, check out.
The bottle isn't real. That's the point. Nothing is borrowed, sampled, or repurposed from any existing brand. Real brand names are blocked before the system even starts drawing — there's no way to accidentally generate a "Bombay Sapphire" or a "Guinness" mug here, and there's nothing to license, borrow, or explain later.
What you get is an original piece of design work, invented by us, made around the person you're giving it to. Their name, in a bottle format they'd recognise, in whichever house style suits them best.

The five drinks (and their styles)
Each drink comes with three or four styles — different eras, different design languages, so you can match the label to the person.
- Gin — 3 styles. Heritage crested (classic bottle-shop gin, foil, crest), Modern editorial (clean, understated, magazine-cover), or Botanical apothecary (herbs, glass jar, printed script). For the botanical drinker, the martini purist, or the mate who's convinced their gin is the best gin.
- Whisky — 3 styles. Highland heritage (tartan, stag, aged parchment), Modern craft (minimal, angular, matte black), or Prohibition bourbon (art-deco geometry, dark amber, no apologies). For dads, granddads, retirement gifts, "the good stuff" people.
- Wine — 3 styles. Classical château (formal French estate label with crest), Modern vintner (clean, editorial), or Tuscan vineyard (warm rustic paper with vineyard illustration). For anniversary presents, dinner-party hosts, the couple who kept the honeymoon bottle.
- Champagne — 3 styles. Belle Époque maison (foil, filigree, gold), Modern maison (minimal luxe), or Gatsby art deco (fan patterns, black-and-gold, roaring 20s). For milestones — birthdays with a nought in, weddings, engagements, "we did it" moments.
- Beer — 4 styles. Heritage brewery (Victorian trade mark, gothic type), Bavarian pilsner (blue-and-white, alpine crest), Mid-century brewery (retro American diner-era), or Craft brewery (contemporary, illustrated, personality-forward). For pub mates, stag do's, the friend who's opened a home tap.
Every style has a sample thumbnail on the product page so you can see the atmosphere before you type a single letter.
How it works
Three steps. Same for every product in the range.
1. Pick a style. The style sets the era, the design language, the mood. Get this right and everything else follows.
2. Type a name. First name, surname, nickname, "The James", "Mum's Own", "Retirement 2026" — whatever suits. This becomes the wordmark on the label, treated as if it were an actual brand name.
3. Get three original labels back, in a minute. Same style, same name, three interpretations. Pick your favourite, choose your mug, check out. Ready to press the moment you order.

Original, not borrowed
This is worth being clear about, because it's what makes the range legally clean and ethically honest.
Every label is invented from scratch. Not "based on" a real brand, not "in the style of" a real brand — genuinely invented. The system doesn't have access to real brand libraries, and it can't be prompted around that guardrail: if you type a real brand name, moderation stops the generation before it starts.
Which means what arrives on your mug is a piece of original design work — ours, made for you, with the name you supplied. Nothing to license, nothing to borrow, nothing to apologise for. Just a mug with a beautifully-made label that happens to have your dad's name on it.
What it's for
Sipfull Labels lives in the gifting economy. Almost every use case we've imagined for it (and every use case customers have suggested during testing) is a gift for someone specific, marking a moment:
- Milestone birthdays. 30th, 50th, 60th, 70th — the number that ends in a nought. A Champagne label with their name on. A whisky bottle from an imaginary Highland distillery, "Established [birth year]".
- Retirement. The person who's leaving the office — give them the bottle they'd have opened when they finally got home.
- Weddings, engagements, anniversaries. His-and-hers Champagne mugs. Wine bottles that would fit on their imaginary vineyard.
- Stag and hen, first-house, promotion, university leaving. Anything worth marking with a bottle, marked with a mug instead.
- Just because for a mate. The one who's convinced they'd run the world's best microbrewery — give them the beer that's already got their name on it.
The practical bits

Make the bottle around the name
Five drinks, three or four styles each, one very specific person in mind.
Portraits and Labels: two ways to say the same thing
Sipfull now runs two Auto Art ranges that share the same tooling but sit at opposite ends of the same idea.
Sipfull Portraits is for when you have the bottle. Send the photo, get the mug. Your dad's actual whisky. The gin from the honeymoon. The oil tin from the shed.
Sipfull Labels is for when you have the person. Pick the style, type the name, get an invented bottle wearing their name like a brand. For gifts, milestones, and the mates whose personality is the design brief.
Same craft, same Sussex studio, same "no proof round-trip" self-serve tier. Different starting point.
One Last Thing
The best gifts are the ones that pretend, for a moment, that the person receiving them is the point of the whole thing. Not a message inside a card, not their name on a label of something someone else made — but a whole bottle, invented around them, on a mug they'll actually use.
That's what this range is for. Pick the style, type the name, see what we make.
